Vitamin dry oil with no SPF (SPF 0) by Soleil Noir

Soleil Noir’s vitamin dry oil is not a sun protection product: it prepares your skin for tanning. Its formula works in two ways:

• Regenerates: its free-radical-fighting vitamin complex (vitamin E, provitamin A, omega-3) carries the anti-ageing ingredients of the formula.
• Hydrates: its precious oils of borage, evening primrose, sesame, olive and coconut keep the skin hydrated.

With no UVA or UVB filters, this tanning oil is designed for sunbeds and can be used outdoors when the sun is at its weakest. It is water-resistant.

Our tip: this oil with no SPF is a much better choice than monoi oils, udder cream and other inadvisable tanning recipes.

Soleil Noir, a French tanning and suncare specialist since 1978, makes its products in France. For this range of products with no SPF, the brand has removed silicone derivatives and fragrance allergens from this oil. The full ingredient list is shown in its own section on this page.

Before each session, spray Soleil Noir’s vitamin dry oil onto clean, dry skin, then spread it in an even layer all over your body. Wash your hands after application. Stick to the session time recommended by your salon to avoid sunburn.

Outdoors, only use it when the sun is at its weakest: avoid the hottest hours and watch out for the first signs of sunburn.

These two Soleil Noir products with no SPF are made for dark olive or tanned skin and share the same promise: a vitamin-rich formula with anti-ageing ingredients and precious oils. The difference is the texture.

• The vitamin dry oil with no SPF: a dry oil spray, if you prefer an oil texture.
• The vitamin milk: a milk texture, with aloe vera and vitamin B5 for hydration. Also available as a sachet.

Does Soleil Noir’s vitamin dry oil help you tan?

Yes. This oil with no SPF is designed for an intense tan. It contains no bronzers: it doesn’t colour the skin, it prepares and hydrates the skin as it tans.

Does Soleil Noir’s dry oil contain sun protection?

No. This version contains no UV filters (SPF 0). It is not a sun protection product and does not protect the skin from UV rays. Soleil Noir sells its vitamin dry oils with UV filters separately, in its sun protection range.

Which skin type is it for?

Soleil Noir’s vitamin dry oil is only for dark olive or already deeply tanned skin. For fair skin or your first sessions, choose a bronzer-free tanning accelerator instead.

How is it different from Soleil Noir’s vitamin oil with no SPF?

Soleil Noir also makes a vitamin oil with no SPF in a capped bottle, based on coconut oil, which is solid below 25°C. The vitamin dry oil sold here is the spray version, in a 150ml pump bottle (dry oil texture).
