What does ‘Tingle’ mean? Tingles are the most powerful products in the tanning world, but they don’t suit everyone. As the name says, a tingle makes your skin tingle. Accelerators of this type warm the skin with ingredients such as cinnamon essential oil or methyl nicotinate (widely used for the local warmth it gives). This warmth gives a much faster tan. You feel your skin warm up, with slight redness and a tingling sensation that people experience differently (it is best to try a sachet before buying a bottle). Please note: when you apply it, and for as long as the product is active (about 1 hour), your skin may look red, as if you were sunburnt. Don’t worry, this is just the blood flowing to the surface of the skin. Once the effect fades, the redness disappears and leaves a tan that has had a real boost. Tip: the tingle effect works especially well on legs that are hard to tan.
