Sunbed cleaning and disinfection > MegaClean Ultra (KBL)

In a tanning salon, the sunbed touches every customer’s bare skin: sweat, tanning lotion, tanning accelerator. After each session, the acrylic sheets, headrest and handles must be cleaned and then disinfected. MegaClean Ultra does both at once: its surfactants lift lotion and sweat residue, and its active substance disinfects the surface.

It is a registered biocide for disinfecting surfaces in medical settings (hospitals, medical practices, public buildings) and surfaces in contact with food (hotels, restaurants). This level of hygiene reassures both your customers and inspection bodies.

• Didecyldimethylammonium chloride (4.5g per 100g): the disinfecting active substance, from the quaternary ammonium family.
• Cationic and non-ionic surfactants (less than 5%): they lift lotion, oil and sweat residue.
• 2-aminoethanol: an alkaline agent that boosts cleaning power.
• No aldehydes or phenols: and no PHMB, unlike the old MegaClean Plus.

Never use MegaClean Ultra neat: always dilute it in water. One litre of concentrate makes about 67 litres of disinfectant solution, which means 15ml of concentrate per litre of solution.

• 1-litre spray bottle: add 15ml of concentrate, then top up with water. The MegaClean spray bottle sprays a foam that clings to vertical surfaces.
• 10-litre container: add 150ml of concentrate (3 doses of 50ml with the dosing bottle), then top up to 10 litres. The 10-litre container with tap then fills your spray bottles without spills.
• Dosing bottle: its built-in 50ml dosing chamber measures the right amount, with no measuring cup or pipette.

Always follow the dosage shown on the product label.

After each customer, spray the solution onto the sunbed couch, the acrylic sheets and the other contact surfaces of the sunbed. Leave it for the contact time shown on the label, then wipe with a soft, clean cloth or a soft sponge. Avoid abrasive sponges and pure alcohol: they scratch and weaken the acrylic.

• 100ml: about 6.7 litres of solution, to try the product or for an extra sunbed.
• 1 litre: about 67 litres of solution, the economical size for tanning salons.
• 1 litre with dosing spout: the same concentrate, with a 50ml dosing chamber for fast, accurate dosing.

Both clean and disinfect sunbeds. The difference is the format.

• Stérylane Solarium by Camylle is a ready-to-use sunbed disinfectant: no dosing needed, ideal for small surfaces and quick touch-ups.
• MegaClean Ultra is a concentrate to dilute: it needs dosing, but costs much less per litre of solution. It is the choice of salons that disinfect several sunbeds all day long.

The neat concentrate is corrosive (signal word: Danger) and very toxic to aquatic life. Keep it out of the reach of children. What should I use to clean and disinfect a sunbed couch?

An acrylic-safe cleaner and disinfectant such as MegaClean Ultra: it removes lotion and sweat residue and disinfects the surface in a single wipe, between customers. If you’d rather avoid dosing altogether, Stérylane Solarium by Camylle is the ready-to-use version.

Does MegaClean Ultra replace MegaClean Plus?

Yes. KBL has replaced MegaClean Plus with MegaClean Ultra: new formula, same use. The 2-litre size is no longer available.

Is MegaClean Ultra safe on the acrylic sheets of all sunbeds?

Yes, whatever the sunbed brand: Ergoline, megaSun, Soltron... Use it diluted, with a soft cloth, never neat or with an abrasive sponge.

How many litres of solution does one bottle make?

About 6.7 litres with the 100ml bottle and about 67 litres with the 1-litre bottle, at 15ml of concentrate per litre of solution.

Should I wear gloves?
