Mojo Dark HOT Bronzing Sauce (Emerald Bay)

Apply Mojo Dark before your tanning session for a faster, deeper tan. It works by creating a warming tingle: your skin flushes and warms up during the session, then develops a dark tan with a scarlet hue.

It combines two ways of darkening the skin. Caramel, a cosmetic bronzer, gives instant dark colour. DHA (a delayed bronzer) develops colour that lasts. This double bronzing action adds to the natural tan you build on the sunbed.

Mojo Dark contains no SPF: it is not a sun cream. It is designed for sunbeds and can be used outdoors when the sun is at its weakest.

A tingle accelerator creates a warming, tingling sensation on the skin. Emerald Bay’s Hot Action scale rates that intensity, and Mojo Dark sits at Level 7: a low-intensity tingle by tingle lotion standards. Dark Mojo is perfect if you’ve never used a tingle lotion before, making it the ideal tingle bronzer to start with.

Please note: the tingle can feel itchy, and some people find it hard to tolerate. Test the lotion on a small patch of skin before applying it all over your body.

First, patch test on a small area of skin. Then apply Emerald Bay Mojo Dark to clean, dry skin before your tanning session, in a thin, even layer all over your body. Wash your hands thoroughly after application. Stick to the session time recommended by your salon to avoid burning.

The 15ml sachet covers one session or lets you try the tingle; the 250ml bottle is made for regular sunbed use.

Both Emerald Bay accelerators are built on agave nectar, like the whole range. The difference lies in the bronzers and the tingle.

• Definitely Dark (bronzer-free, non-tingle): ideal for fair skin and your first sessions, while you build your base tan.
• Mojo Dark (with bronzers and a tingle): for olive skin or skin that’s already well tanned. DHA doesn’t create the colour, it transforms it: a tan that has gone dull gets its coppery glow back.
