During a tanning session, a classic tanning accelerator stimulates melanin, the pigment that gives skin its colour. Supertan Tropical Fruits goes further: it is a bronzer, meaning an accelerator that also contains DHA, and a tingle, a lotion that warms the skin and makes it tingle. DHA and beta-carotene darken the skin quickly, tyrosine speeds up the development of your natural tan, and the tingle makes the tan even deeper and longer-lasting.

This bronzer is all about depth: a visible, authentic bronze. Its jojoba and kukui oil complex also regenerates, hydrates and nourishes the skin, collagen firms it, and caffeine completes the formula: the skin is smoothed and strengthened, with a tropical fruit fragrance.

Tropical Fruits contains no UV filter (no SPF): it is designed for sunbeds and can be used outdoors when the sun is at its weakest.

As the name suggests, a tingle lotion makes the skin tingle. The warming agent in Tropical Fruits, benzyl nicotinate, warms the skin and makes it tingle and flush. This reaction improves the oxygenation of skin cells: the tan is even deeper and clearly boosted.

The tingling and redness are temporary and short-lived: this is the intended effect, the one that gives a more intense tan. Supertan Tropical Fruits Tingle is not recommended for sensitive skin. For external use only: wash your hands thoroughly after application.

Tropical Fruits contains dihydroxyacetone (DHA), the active in self-tanning products, with no erythrulose. DHA needs no UV: it reacts with the surface layer of the skin and adds colour on top of the tan from your session; beta-carotene boosts this fast colour.

Our advice: Tropical Fruits is for people who are already tanned, tan regularly and want a deeper tan, so for olive skin and skin that’s already deeply tanned. Bronzers don’t create colour, they transform it: when melanin is working hard, a tan can turn dull, and a touch of DHA makes it more coppery and radiant. For your first sessions and for fair skin still building a base tan, Spicy Butter keeps the tingle, without DHA.
