Supertan Frosted Banana - Hemp Accelerator, bronzer-free hemp tanning accelerator

A tanning accelerator (also called a tan activator) stimulates the production of melanin, the pigment that colours the skin, during your tanning session. Frosted Banana has an intense accelerating action: it gives a deep, natural tan and helps your tan last longer.

It also really cares for your skin. This lotion hydrates and nourishes: aloe vera makes it light to apply, hemp seed oil, cocoa butter and safflower oil leave the skin soft and pleasant to the touch, and vitamin E fights free radicals. And your tan smells of frosted banana, every session.

Supertan places it among the accelerators of its Sensation range, alongside Sugary Vanilla and Lemongrass & Orange.

• Tyrosine (L-tyrosine): the amino acid the skin uses to make melanin, and the first of the tan activators in the formula. It is combined with acetyl tyrosine.
• Copper (Copper Acetyl Tyrosinate Methylsilanol) and riboflavin (vitamin B2): the other two tan activators, alongside tyrosine.
• Hemp seed oil (Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil): used in a high dose, it makes the skin soft and turns Frosted Banana into a ‘Hemp Accelerator’.
• Cocoa butter and safflower oil (Carthamus Tinctorius Seed Oil): together with hemp, they leave the skin smooth and comfortable.
• Aloe vera juice (Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice): the first ingredient after water. It makes the lotion light to apply.
• Vitamin E (Tocopheryl Acetate): an antioxidant that protects the skin from free radicals.
• Tahitian monoi oil: completes the skincare ingredients of this tanning lotion.

Frosted Banana is neither a bronzer nor a self-tanning cream: it contains no DHA or erythrulose, and the colour comes only from your own melanin, stimulated during the session. No streaks, no orange palms, no bronzer smell: your tan builds session after session.

Our advice: a bronzer-free accelerator is the right choice for your first sessions and for fair skin. For olive skin or skin that’s already very tanned, choose an accelerator with bronzers instead, such as Supertan’s Pineapple & Mango. DHA doesn’t create the colour, it transforms it. When melanin is pushed hard, a tan can turn dull; a touch of DHA makes it more coppery.

Just before each tanning session, apply an even layer of Frosted Banana all over your body. Wash your hands thoroughly after application. For external use only. Stick to the session time recommended by your salon to avoid burning.

Does Supertan Frosted Banana contain bronzers (DHA)?

No. It contains no DHA or erythrulose: the colour comes only from your tan.

Does the Frosted Banana accelerator contain SPF?

No. Its formula contains no UV filters, so no SPF. It is designed for sunbeds and can be used outdoors when the sun is at its weakest.
