Sugary Vanilla shimmering tanning accelerator (Supertan)

A tanning accelerator stimulates skin pigmentation during your tanning session. In Supertan Sugary Vanilla Shimmering Accelerator, tyrosine effectively activates pigment formation: your first colour appears quickly and the skin darkens faster. It’s an accelerator ‘with illuminator’: its pearly particles make your tan even more attractive.

What it promises: silky, smooth skin with a golden bronze tan and an attractive glow. The skin is regenerated and hydrated, firmer and more elastic, delicate and velvety to the touch. The lotion absorbs quickly and isn’t sticky. Supertan places it among the accelerators of its Sensation range, alongside Frosted Banana and Lemongrass & Orange.

Other retailers also sell it as ‘SuperTan Sugary Vanilla Tanning Lotion’ or ‘Supertan Sugary Vanilla Tanning Lotion Shimmering Accelerator’.

Sugary Vanilla doesn’t leave glitter: it leaves a pearly glow. Mica, titanium dioxide and iron oxide form the fine illuminating particles that make the skin shimmer. The result: a shimmering shine, close to that of oiled skin, that makes your tan look brighter as soon as you apply it.

• Tyrosine: the amino acid the skin uses to make melanin. It activates pigment formation for a faster golden tan. The formula combines it with acetyl tyrosine and copper (Copper Acetyl Tyrosinate Methylsilanol).
• Aloe vera juice (Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice): the first ingredient after water. It deeply hydrates and cares for the skin while you tan.
• Hemp seed oil (Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil) and cocoa butter (Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter): strengthen the skin, help it regenerate after the session and leave it feeling silky soft.
• Tahitian monoi oil: completes the skincare ingredients of this tanning lotion.
• Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin): also in the formula, as is ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate).
• Pearly particles (mica, titanium dioxide): light up the skin, hence the name ‘Shimmering’.

Sugary Vanilla is not a self-tanning cream: the colour comes only from your own melanin, stimulated during the session. No streaks, no orange palms: your tan builds session after session, and the pearly highlights make it glow.

Our advice: a bronzer-free accelerator is the right choice for your first sessions and for fair skin. For olive skin or skin that’s already very tanned, choose an accelerator with bronzers instead, such as Supertan’s Peaches & Coconut Cream. DHA doesn’t create the colour, it transforms it. When melanin is pushed hard, a tan can turn dull; a touch of DHA makes it more coppery.

Just before each tanning session, apply an even layer of Sugary Vanilla all over your body. Wash your hands thoroughly after application. For external use only. Stick to the session time recommended by your salon to avoid burning.

Does Supertan Sugary Vanilla contain bronzers (DHA)?

No. It contains no DHA or erythrulose: the colour comes only from your tan, enhanced by the pearly highlights.

Does the Sugary Vanilla accelerator contain SPF?

No. Its formula contains no UV filters, so no SPF. It is designed for sunbeds and can be used outdoors when the sun is at its weakest.

Who is Supertan Sugary Vanilla for?

For people who never or rarely tan, including fair skin. For olive skin or skin that’s already very tanned, choose Peaches & Coconut Cream, with bronzers.
