Supertan Golden Paradise - Tanning accelerator with gold particles and monoi, bronzer-free

A tanning accelerator, or tan activator, stimulates the production of melanin, the pigment that gives skin its colour, during UV exposure. Retailers also list Supertan Golden Paradise as ‘Golden Paradise Accelerator’, ‘Golden Paradise Tan Accelerator’ or ‘Shimmer Dust Accelerator Tanning Lotion’.

Golden Paradise brings to mind a sunset over the sea and tanned skin covered in sparkling sand: it was created to keep those moments with you, session after session. It is a ‘Shimmering skin’ lotion: it gives the skin a golden glow and a youthful freshness. It is designed for sunbeds and can be used outdoors when the sun is at its weakest.

Golden Paradise contains no DHA or erythrulose: the colour you get comes only from your own melanin, stimulated during the tanning session. No streaks, no orange palms, no bronzer smell.

This is our advice for first sessions and fair skin. For olive skin or skin that’s already deeply tanned, choose a Supertan with bronzers instead, such as Dark Sauna (DHA and erythrulose). Bronzers don’t create colour, they transform it: when melanin is working hard, a tan can turn dull, and a touch of DHA makes it more coppery and radiant.

Supertan highlights four actives: tyrosine, aloe vera, mica and Tahitian Monoi oil.

• Tyrosine: the amino acid that is a precursor of melanin, and the go-to active in tanning accelerators. The formula also contains two tyrosine derivatives (Acetyl Tyrosine and Copper Acetyl Tyrosinate Methylsilanol).
• Tahitian Monoi oil (Gardenia Taitensis Flower Extract, Cocos Nucifera Oil): monoi from Tahiti, made by soaking tiare flowers in coconut oil. With aloe vera, it intensely hydrates the skin and prolongs the effect of your natural tan.
• Aloe vera (Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice): the first ingredient after water, it hydrates and softens the skin.
• Mica (gold particles): the fine golden ‘Shimmer Dust’ particles that make the skin shimmer and enhance your tan.
• Plant oils and butter: safflower oil (Carthamus Tinctorius Seed Oil), hemp seed oil (Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil) and cocoa butter (Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter) complete the formula.
• Plant extracts: chamomile (Chamomilla Recutita Flower Extract) and green tea (Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract).

Just before each tanning session, apply an even layer of Golden Paradise all over your body. Wash your hands thoroughly after application. For external use only. Stick to the session time recommended by your salon to avoid burning.
