Instant odourless self tanning lotion (Jet Set Sun)

The Jet Set Sun self tanning lotion gives you a natural tan all year round, without sun exposure or UV sessions. Easy to apply, it works in two stages for a natural golden tan.

When you apply it: the lotion is tinted. It gives an instant glow, evens out your skin tone and shows you which areas you have already covered, so you avoid missed areas and streaks.

Within a few hours: the DHA develops in the upper layer of the skin and turns this glow into a rich, golden tan. The result lasts 3 to 7 days.

Its original formula is designed to suit all skin types and all skin tones. It does not have the unpleasant smell that many self tans leave behind.

• Natural DHA (dihydroxyacetone): the self tanning active, a plant extract. It reacts with the upper layer of the skin to create the colour of a tan, without UV.
• Guide tint: pigments colour the lotion as soon as you apply it, for an instant result and precise application.
• Fast-drying liquid texture: not a spray but a fluid liquid that you blend with a mitt or a brush, and that dries in seconds.

Before application:

• Exfoliate your skin thoroughly, ideally with the Jet Set Scrub body scrub, and for your face with the Jet Set Scrub face scrub.
• Shave or wax 24 hours before.
• Moisturise dry areas (knees, elbows), then wait 1 hour.
• Do not wear make-up, perfume, deodorant or any other lotion when you apply it.

Application:

• Shake the bottle well before each use.
• Pour the lotion onto the Jet Set Sun applicator mitt or onto a kabuki brush, never directly onto your skin.
• Blend it in immediately with long, sweeping motions, one area at a time.
• Let it dry for a few seconds, then wait 4 to 8 hours before showering so the tan develops fully, evenly and without streaks.

After application:

• Avoid wearing a bra or tight clothes straight afterwards.
• While the tan develops, avoid any contact with water and do not apply make-up or lotion.
• Moisturise your skin every day and avoid hair removal and exfoliation for as long as the tan lasts. When the colour starts to fade, a gentle exfoliation once a week helps it fade evenly; when it has gone, start the cycle again: exfoliate, apply, moisturise.

All three Jet Set Sun self tans are based on DHA, dry quickly and leave no streaks and no smell. The difference is the texture and the way you apply them.

• The Jet Set Sun self tan mousse: a light, tinted mousse that you blend with a mitt in circular motions, for a deeper tan. The tan lasts 3 to 7 days.
• The Jet Set Sun self tanning mist: a spray that you apply without touching your skin, the fastest option for an everyday sun-kissed glow.

How long does the Jet Set Sun self tanning lotion tan last?

The colour appears as soon as you apply it. The tan developed by the DHA lasts 3 to 7 days. For the best result, wait 4 to 8 hours before your first shower.

Does the self tanning lotion smell of fake tan?

No. The Jet Set Sun lotion does not have the unpleasant smell typical of traditional self tans.

Does the lotion stain clothes?

Once dry, after a few seconds, the formula hardly transfers. Just avoid tight clothes during the hours the tan is developing.

Do I need a mitt to apply self tan?

Yes. The lotion is applied with the Jet Set Sun applicator mitt or a kabuki brush, never directly onto the skin. Blend it in immediately with long, sweeping motions for an even result.

How do I get a darker tan?

Adjust the amount: a light application gives a sun-kissed look, a thicker one gives a deeper shade.

Does self tan protect against the sun?

No. The Jet Set Sun self tanning lotion contains no SPF: the colour it gives does not protect against UV rays and does not replace sun cream.
