Quick-drying self tan mousse (Jet Set Sun)

With Jet Set Sun’s self tan mousse, you get a natural-looking tan all year round, without the sun or a sunbed. Whether you want a healthy glow or a real golden tan, it works in two stages.

As you apply: the mousse is tinted. It gives an instant golden glow, blurs the look of imperfections and shows you exactly where you’ve applied it.

Over a few hours: the DHA develops in the top layer of the skin and, hour by hour, builds a deeper, golden, radiant tan that lasts 3 to 7 days. The colour stays golden, never orange, and its depth adapts to your skin.

The formula suits all skin types and all skin tones. It was designed without the unpleasant smell many self tans leave behind.

• Natural DHA (dihydroxyacetone): the self tanning active, a plant extract. It creates tanned colour in the top layer of the skin, without UV.
• Guide tint: pigments colour the mousse for an instant glow and no missed patches.
• Airy mousse texture: an ultra-light mousse that spreads easily over large areas of the body and dries in seconds.

Before you apply:

• Exfoliate, ideally with the Jet Set Scrub body scrub, and with the Jet Set Scrub face scrub for your face.
• Shave or wax 24 hours before.
• Moisturise dry areas (knees, elbows), then wait 1 hour.
• Wear no make-up, perfume, deodorant or other lotion when you apply.

Applying:

• Shake the bottle well before each use.
• Apply the mousse to the Jet Set Sun applicator mitt rather than your bare hands.
• Sweep it over your skin in long circular motions, one area at a time, for even coverage.
• Let it dry briefly before getting dressed, then wait 4 to 8 hours before showering for the best result.

After applying:

• Avoid wearing a bra or tight clothing straight afterwards.
• While the tan develops, avoid any contact with water and don’t apply make-up or lotion.
• Moisturise every day and avoid hair removal and scrubbing while your tan lasts. When the colour starts to fade, a gentle scrub once a week helps it fade evenly; once it has gone, start the cycle again: scrub, apply, moisturise.

All three Jet Set Sun self tans (mousse, self tan lotion and spray) are based on DHA, dry quickly and leave no streaks or smell: the tan develops gradually over the following hours. The difference lies in the texture and how you apply them.

How long does Jet Set Sun self tan mousse last?

The golden glow appears as soon as you apply it. The tan developed by the DHA lasts 3 to 7 days. Wait 4 to 8 hours before your first shower so it can develop fully.

Does the self tan mousse smell of fake tan?

No. Jet Set Sun mousse leaves neither the typical self tan smell nor a sticky residue.

Will the self tan mousse make me look orange?

No. The result is golden, not orange, and its depth adapts to your natural skin tone.

How long does the mousse take to dry?

A few seconds. Let it dry briefly before getting dressed, and avoid tight clothing while the tan develops.

Do I need a mitt to apply self tan mousse?

Yes, it’s recommended: apply the mousse to the Jet Set Sun applicator mitt rather than your bare hands and sweep it on in long circular motions for an even result.

Does self tan protect against the sun?

No. Jet Set Sun self tan mousse contains no SPF: the tanned look doesn’t protect against UV rays and is no substitute for sun cream.
